I have a 3 HP Wards Sea King outboard motor. The Model # is 94GG9009A and the serial # is 331869.
Where can I find a water pump kit for this unit?
Thanks, Dwayne
Hi Dwayne. I have a 1950 model Sea King and I think it's the same as your '49 model. You need to take the prop off and there is a sleve around the prop shaft with 2 screws holding it on. If you take those two screws out the sleve will come out and you should see, fitted onto the prop shaft, a round rubber thing shaped sort of like a Q. A new one can be obtained from Twincityoutboard.com

Hope this helps
Hey, Drowned Rat, I was wondering about those old Gale 3hps - they're based on the Johnson HD engines rather than the Evinrude 3.3hp Sportwin?

Anyway, you can get those behind-the-prop "impellers" here:
http://www.grove.net/~noff/marx.html
But they take forever to wear out.
That's right Paul. The impeller is tough, but the 2 stroke oil that drains down there breaks down the rubber after a while. At least that was the way mine was when I got it.
