Wards 3 HP Sea King

I have a 3 HP Wards Sea King outboard motor. The Model # is 94GG9009A and the serial # is 331869.<br />Where can I find a water pump kit for this unit?<br />Thanks, Dwayne

Hi Dwayne. I have a 1950 model Sea King and I think it's the same as your '49 model. You need to take the prop off and there is a sleve around the prop shaft with 2 screws holding it on. If you take those two screws out the sleve will come out and you should see, fitted onto the prop shaft, a round rubber thing shaped sort of like a Q. A new one can be obtained from Twincityoutboard.com<br /><br />Hope this helps :)

Hey, Drowned Rat, I was wondering about those old Gale 3hps - they're based on the Johnson HD engines rather than the Evinrude 3.3hp Sportwin? <br /><br />Anyway, you can get those behind-the-prop "impellers" here:<br /> http://www.grove.net/~noff/marx.html <br />But they take forever to wear out.

That's right Paul. The impeller is tough, but the 2 stroke oil that drains down there breaks down the rubber after a while. At least that was the way mine was when I got it.
