Re: Warm up time.
I would not run motor above 3500 rpm for a least 3/4 of a mile or more. Allow plenty of warm up and your motor will thank you with longevity.<br /><br />Hard acceleration on cold motors tends to score up cyl walls and damage pistons. Alum from pistons will rubb off onto cyl walls and be caught by rings. If rings happen to catch you could break a rod or worse. Alum pistons heat up faster than the steel sleeves.<br /><br />I always allow motor to warm up for 10 min at rpms under 2500. Then I run it as I wish.
