Will...as ejw posted, you should get a tone when ever you turn the ignition key to on. If the key is on a dash board, the alarm horn will be under the dash and could be hard to hear. A quick way to see if it works, look for a brownish colored wire coming from one of the heads. This will be the heat sensor wire. There will be a rubber connector connecting the wire to the wire harnes. Pull the connector apart and ground the end that goes to the motor harnes to ground with a jumper wire. Go to the key switch and turn it to "ON". Don't try and start the motor, just to on. The horn should give a continuous tone. Hope this helps.
