DO NOT mention to your wife how proud you are of your 15 year old washing machine that has faithfully washed countless loads of work clothes of yours and other things for the household. If you do you are asking for it. I did it yesterday and my machine of the vintage mentioned politely croaked on that very day.<br /><br />Figured the drive belt had given up. Finally figured how to disfigure it and loa and behold, no belt.<br /><br />Well got outta the new thing purchase without too many bruises but it looked bleak for awhile. Seems the lower model units nowadays have enough goodies to satisfy the not too pickey female purchaser. Figured I paid 2x for a new one what a repair job would have cost me for the old one. Couldn't pass that up.<br /><br />Mark
