I talked with Shawn this morning and he said the bracket they have for the crank mount pump only fits with the hose coming out on the port side. No problem with running the hoses out the starboard side by rotating the pump but they don't have a bracket for that. He did say they are able to fit hoses in and around everything on the port side with the oil cooler in the suction line for the sea water pump so it gets the coldest water. All of their engines use fresh water cooling as well.

Thanks again for the lead...

I have had similar situations and was able to route the water with some creative plumbing using some hard drawn copper pipe elbows sweated together from the hardware store.
Glad Shawn could help he always came through for me and Marine Power are good people to deal with. I purchased quite a few of the engines from them.

I have 2 installed on Bravos. The store bought brackets are crap and rust. They mount using a dampener/guide to bottom of Crank pump and to stb front side of block. I had to fabricate special mounting (other than store bought bracket) to utilize and access my PS pump as well. My alternators are 2 pully type, which required more use of gray matter to resolve overall fitting. The harmonic balancer/pullies have keyways for perfect alignment. The crank pumps have keyways TOO. If you do not marriage them up, they will wobble. Trust me. Former owner's mechanic didn't have them aligned and vibrations on hose cause PS heat exchanger's solder joints to fail. Your project can be accomplished, but it will require heavy thought. I also cloned the crappy steal mount but used SS. When the bias metal ones fail, I will install ss. Good luck!!!!!!!

I think I need to finish assembly my engine and see how it would fit and what bracket holes are available since I have the low mounted alternator on the port side. I do have the used stock style sea water pump but I don't have brackets for it.

Forgot to come back and close this thread with an answer. Per Marine Power, their bracket does not fit on the opposite side so the hoses can't be run down the starboard side like the original seawater pump using their bracket and a crank mount pump.
