If Iboats put out a calender I would buy one:) Would be cool to hang it up in my garage, When I get a garage:D. Who else would like one too??

Shirts,hats,coffee cups anything like that?
Heck while we're on the subject how about an iboats video game.
The goal is to get your boat across the Atlantic and when it breaks down you have to figure out what's wrong with it and fix it with what money you have in your acct.

Great idea. I can help with this!!!! I'm a graphic designer by trade and I can put it together. Let's do it. Time is running short for 2010 though. I've already designed and put to bed 3 2010 calendars. Let's do it!

How would you go about doing it "Photos I mean"? Theme is what I am talking about. What would the pictures be? Bikini girls, Iboats members boats, Funny boating & camping cartoons? Bikini girls for one calendar and boating for another? Even though it would be a bootleg Iboats calendar I would still by one from YA or two:D Personally I would like one with "Boats on the water scenery" for the home office and then the bikini girl one for garage would be ok. I think two might be needed:) choice is good!

guys this would have to be approved by ADMIN. iboats is a registered trademark. i am all for it, and sent a link to this thread. it would not be bikini girls, this is a family friendly forum.

Thanks TD!! That would be Great!! It's a well needed product and like I said earlier "Boats on the water scenery" would be cool:cool: I would buy one!! or two.

Why not have pictures of members' boats. Anyone interested, put their name in, say a lottery. Draw 12 names for 12 boat pictures. Just a thought.

One month can have 12 boats on the page or 6, you know what I mean:)

I think a POLL is in order!! Maybe TD could start one or another moderator, Or even Iboats should start a "POLL" to see what would be good. Our boats in the water would be cool. We can call it an "Ourboats" calendar;)

Photos of members boats would be cool.

Snap On does a calender of cars submitted from people. In the auto trade for me its a privilege for me to get one of these calenders.

I think it would cool to have a photo of my boat on a calender that was selected from possible thousands of photos with my name and town name on it as well as other members boats.

Check out the Snap On calender it would be a good model to work off of.

Thats how they do it over on the Bayliners owners club. They been doing it for afew years and they sell very well. :).

This is a great idea. Hope the ADMIN approves it!
I belong to a Chesapeake-area sea kayaking club and they did a 2009 calender for the first time.
The way they set it up was pretty simple- members were asked to post their best images of "kayaking on and around the Bay". There was a deadline, and by that time there were maybe 50 submissions.
The organizer numbered all the images and posted them on a public Picaso account for all to see. Members had 30 days to vote for their top 13 pictures (12 months + cover). I think the cover shot had separate voting.

When done, the organizer announced what pictures made the cut and setup a webpage to download the calender. He made it easy to do- even for a PC-illiterate like me. There was no cost involved.

I'll see if I can find the link for the calender and post it in a few minutes.

No Bikini girls ... We understand , how about an old johnson motor with its top off ? ;) :eek: The cover, of the motor of course :D.
Old restored classics, rebuilds from the forums here, One or two photos of a fishing boat on "water like glass" in a sunset, with campfire smoke from the ajacent shore, Holy smokes, we need a calendar !

I forgot that they had it set it up in such a way that PC printers set for 'duplex' printing would automatically arrange the calender in proper order for top binding.
As I said, even I figured it out! :D

I printed out a couple calenders with glossy photo paper and had them spiral bound at work. They turned out very nice- they could pass for professional!

BTW- one of my pics made the cut- the eighth picture from the start (dusk shot with setting sun over the treeline). Does that make me a published photographer?
