Did you install the underwater lights yourself? Do you have any detailed photos on how they are installed? This is something I want to do on our 1999 300SE.

This Is My Second Set.... Had 2- Blue LED pods on my Bayliner.. Did 3- Green Pods of 3LEDS on my New Doral..... www.oceanled.com they have "How-To" you tube clips and instructions..... 3M 5200 is going to be your new best friend...

I wish I had a swim platform to put lights on

Maybe santa will bring me a Doral with an I/O and a swim platform for Christmas

Those lights look fantastic, I've been looking at doing that for a while now.
Every night I come into the Marina I am faced with the beautiful stream of blue from beneath a 65' cruiser.
My only issue is poking holes in the transom, I would love to find an LED light that didn't require through hull fitment

Ocean LED makes a Suction Cup Mount for the LEDs they Sell.... I Have also seen guys make a Custom steel " L " shaped bracket and mount them to the Top Side of the Trim Tabs... Then u just need to run Wires.... Lots of stuff on the Market now for these...

TeamPC - really nice pic. I love that 30 footer. Between 99 and 2000, Doral must have changed their arches from slanting backward to slanting forward. Wonder if there is some advantage to a forward slant, or if it's just asthetics. Nicely done on the pic!

I've got a 2006 Doral 245 Escape with a volvo penta 5,7GXI/320HP bought in 3-2009.
Origionally I wanted the Phazar but none available in my budget:facepalm:

Already did some mods on the engine with some HI-TEK stainless steel headers and Corsa captains call open exhaust and gained me sometop speed.
HID underwater lights.
And since there were no trimtabs on when I bought it, I mounted some MINN KOTA trimtabs which I can operate at the steering wheel instead on the dash.

Currently bussy with a "major" (Procharger) engine upgrade on the Volvo SB, but needs finishing after this boat season. Will be about september.
Just wanna go boating now. The output will be in the region of 500Hp on the crank.
After this I hope to have a powerboat in sheaps clothing

It should strong enough to handle the horses compared to the Mercruiser but will know in a few months for sure.
expected prop HP is 450-475hp, calculated speedgain about 14-18 miles
So max speed will be about 70mph but time will tell.
Just want it in the 65mph range.
The stock PHAZAR 245 goes 66mph according to boattest.com with 420HP at the prop.

I am also looking at the HI-TEK manifolds.

Did you notice any difference in performance and fuel consumption after installing those?

I just now realized that I didn't put pics of our lil boat in here yet. Ours is a 1980 160 Doral TRX currently sporting a 78 Merc 1150. Complete re-do from the cross bracing up. ( Re build thread here) http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=421193&page=1

Anywho here she is now..

Kenmyfam's baby and ours last year at Pittock Puddle.

Newest addition is our 1150 Merc with trim.

Ahhh. 70 Smiles an hour.
My last boat was 28ft and did 70mph, sooo much fun. She did like to chine walk a little in high speed turns though! Wasn't great on fuel either, twin modified V6 2 strokes, plenty of grunt if you poured in enough juice.

Here is my 2000 300 SC in downtown Jacksonville, FL which is about an hour cruise from my marina in Jacksonville Beach. I have had the boat for about a year and a half.

Appreciate it! I've been working hard to keep it looking new. But, its not really work when you enjoy it.
