Re: Weed eater outboard
Hi,
I was running the outboard out the water, also had no prop on. Dosen't matter anymore, got a brand new mculloch whipper snipper engine, runs extreemly well, starts every time. I got of a sight called "Gumtree" Don't know if anyone's herd of it before but anyway, I just put an ad up saying "if anyone has any whipper snippers they want to throw out, I'd be happy to have them" and so I ended up with a mculloch 25cc and an electric ryobi whipper snipper. The man that brought the mculloch used it once and the "shaft broke" so he gave it to me for two beers so I'm pretty happy whit that deel. On that same day a person replied saying he had a 40 hp 1968 johnson that was used in the military, the shaft was bent and seized onto the powerhead. I know how to get the shaft out But I don't know how to straiten it out. Is it even repaiable? The motor also came with a 55 hp chrysler missing a powerhead, 3 metal fuel tanks and the manuals.
Just another update.
