$500 for a total brake job sounds like a heck of a deal to me.

Acutally, I just picked it up 30 minutes ago and it only cost $420!

HAHA I am totally married...


i am a dj, and last weekend i did a wedding... and they ended up going 3 hours longer ($50 an hour) plus got a $50 tip... was going to spend it all on the boat. the next day im paying for something and realize i dont have as much $$ in my pocket as I should, and spend hours going over in my head and it just didnt add up. finally i decided that i dropped $60 somewhere. so im callin places i had been to asking if anyone turned it in. by the end of the day i conceited. then when my wife got home i was telling her how dumb i am for losing 60 bucks and she said...



"no, i took it out of your pocket this morning before leaving for work."

LOL Andy thats a golden rule in my house . I dont touch her purse and she doesnt touch my wallett . When she needs cash she asks me if I have it sometimes I do sometimes I dont depends on what she wants it for .

Andy, that just shows how secure you wife is in the marriage. She can take your money and she KNOWS that you will be happy that you were able to enrich her life even in ways that you don't know about until after that fact.

She just took it out of your pants without asking??? That takes some BIG stones man. I don't mind sharing but to just take like that would upset me a bit to say the least. Do you think she would have told you if you didn't bring it up?

no, i doubt she would have!

and she gets pissed when i do it to her! we get child support from her ex husband, and it comes on a debit card now. sometimes i'll grab the card and use it, and she says thats "her money" beccause she put up with him for so long she deserves it!

i love my wife, but we dont see eye to eye when it comes to money.

The good ones let you know...it's part of the game. But turn-about is fair play. Wife came home one day and I had all her shoes out of the closet, trying to find my stuff. She asked what I was doing and I said...doing an inventory to thin-out, sell some of these shoes...which ones do you want to keep? The look on her face before she lit into me was priceless...I don't gritch about her shoes, she don't b**ch about my boats/motors.

damn dude, that is classic! My wife has over 100 pair of shoes. I swear I have never seen her wear more than 6. I have 3 bedrooms in my home and no kids. I get a 3' wide section in my master closet...every other closet in the house has shoes in them! WTF! I dont get it at all. There is nothing that I can relate this to. Nothing. There is absolutely no way to justify having 100 feet covers, nothing!

I am the only guy at work (I'm a RN) and I see the shoe/purse/new outfit thing all the time and when I ask them what they need 50 of (whatever they just bought) for, they can never give me a good answer. But, for what it's worth, they ask me why I have so many tools. My usual reply is "so I can fix what gets torn up." I guess sometimes you just have to pick your battles.

I have learned over the years Shoes are to women as Tools are to men ( you can never have to many ) . I dont biatch about her shoes and she knows all to well I have a tool addiction LOL.

I'd almost rather my wife went in for her nails...I've got enough fingernail polish here for her to start her own business doing nails! I hate the smell of nail polish remover too!

What's done me a huge favor is my wife working overnights...she just doesn't give herself the free time to do them as often as she used to, and if she does, she does it when I'm at work because that's when she's usually awake!

But, I know the shoe thing too....got a pair of really nice FILA's that are in brand new condition....hardly ever worn, along with her winter boots....HAD to have them though

Well ,I have a small update available for you. I got the plywood and cut out the two halves today during my one hour window between the raindrops. I test fitted and need to do a little on the sides of both pieces before they'll slide in easy. I have my PL adhesive all ready to go to glue the two pieces together. I also have the product I chose to seal the wood. I figure it can't be any WORSE than exterior paint and I believe it may be better. Is it as good as other things out there? No. However I feel it was worth a shot. Ezmobee used a simple exterior latex paint on his and it has held up well for the past three years. If I get 4-5 years out of it, I'll be VERY satisfied. Hopefully, I can get everything sanded, fitted, glud, sealed, and installed before Saturday morning. I leave at 4:00 am Saturday morning and won't be returning until the 20th of August- going on a family vacation to Disney World. God, I HATE Disney World! It's such a money pit- kinda like a boat I guess!

Um Gunner you can ask Kev about this but you are going to disney totally at the wrong time of year . August is the hottest month of the year and its hot enough down there right now to Fry Kevs brain .
