Re: What are your funeral plans?

My wish is to have my ashes poured in concrete to form a dome with holes in it and dropped at my favorite fishing spot. This way my ashes remain there for years, fishes can swim in and out my mini reef, family and friends can mark me in their GPS and fish my favorite spot or just drop a rose on the anniversary of my death. Also, if anyone else in the family wants to do the same, we can start our own reef.

Either that, or have my ashes put into fireworks and set off over the Gulf of Mexico. Talk about going out with a bang! L)

Re: What are your funeral plans?

Told mine to put me on some sort of public transportation. My insurance policy pays $1 mil if i die while on public transportation LOL. :D

I have no prefernce, whatever is easier for my family. Id proablly lean towards cremation and having my ashes spread near the water.

Heres a memorial bench I found loctaed near an inlet. I sat there for about 30 minutes and paid my respects to a fellow fisherman. I cant explain the serenity I felt but I remeber thinking.... wow, wouldnt it be nice if my kids could have a place like this to come visit me at.

First, take any usable parts and give them to whomever can use them. Then use what's left for education of Doctors.

When the school is done with me, cremation. Ashes scattered either at The Hideout or on Lake Of The Woods.

Plant a magnolia tree as my memorial. No funeral, but a memorial service is okay.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am an organ donor. I've pretty much used up all of my organs.

First off I plan on being as late as possible................I'm thinking years instead of hours or minuets:D:D...............I like the cremation route...............no fuss no muss.................as for a service find the most embarrassing picture of me they can stick it up on the wall and have a remembrance party......................no flowers no receiving line.................................if any one cares to share a few memories for a laugh or a tear so be it................as for my ashes i guess I have not though that far.....................I'm still at the party............;);):)

Don't really matter to me. I figure either way is going to be a hot one for me. Be it over or way under....

At my present rate,
I doubt there will be much left
But whatever is left,
I doubt I'll care about one way or the other
Do whatever you want

unfortunately, due to previous illness, i can not be a donor, but will be donated for research, as to what the disease did over the following years, then cremated, and scatter of may favorite bridge, so i can see the beautiful, Jacksonville skyline forever.

I like Ladyfish's plan. I often said to put me on a boat at sea and let me go fishing forever. Kinda like the Eskimo go out on a floating chunk of ice.

My wife and I agreed on cremation for the same reason. Personally, I find the whole archaic ritual demeaning.
I joke and tell everyone that if I get some uncureable disease I'm cashing everything in and going to the Chicken Ranch with my wad in one hand and a pine box in the other. I'll hire the whole house. Whomever puts me in the box, gets a significant bonus.
Then I want my remains placed in my hydroplane, filled with a vicious flammable, cast adrift, and set a blaze via a flying arrow viking style...and I hope it pisses DNR off to no end when they come to check my equipment.

Re: What are your funeral plans?

Being in the transplant field for 10 years, always wondered if my organs are gonna be well used or just well lubricated ?

creamate, into bud bottles and scatter me into the Gulf, from the back of my own boat.

Re: What are your funeral plans?

I'll have to pass on all this burning me up stuff. I have full intentions of building my own casket. A simple pine box shaped like the ones you see in the old westerns. A small graveside ceremony with one of my best friends preaching/talking is what I want also. While I have plenty of land for a family cemetary and the equipment to dig the hole I prefer a cemetary right around the corner from the house, less than 1/2 a mile OR one where most of my dads family is at about 10 miles away. Either way the cheaper the better and enjoy the insurance money.

Cremated and have my ashes scattered about the block I grew up on as a child. I'd like to be 5 years old riding my tricycle in the warm summer sun without a care in the world for eternity.

Re: What are your funeral plans?

I don't really care, but would prefer to just be burned and dropped in my bosses pancake batter.

As for the funeral, those that want to say a prayer for me, fine. Doubt that there will be many (any) .

There will be no wake/party.
If those freeloaders don't care enough to come visit me while I'm alive, I'll be danged if I'm gonna throw them a party after I'm dead.
