I've been looking for a used transmission for my 93 Escort and I planned to change it with help. I've mainly been looking on craigslist and seen some that were ok but were to far to haul the car. I was looking and I found this one about one and a half hours away from me. Reasonable drive for someone not liking city driving. The car i could get for less then the transmission shop said they could do it for. I was looking through the pictures and watched the video of the car starting up because he said it had troubles starting. http://s105.photobucket.com/albums/m213/the_wolf2/?action=view¤t=MOV02111.flv
That is the video of the car starting. I've talked to some people and they said it could be the injector problem they were having a while back with the gas problems and I was told this was a costly fix. I am mechanicaly inclined and may be able to do something with the car if I can diagnose the problem. What could cause this, and what other things should I look for before buying the car?
