i tow an 18ft runabout with my 1986 trans am. tows pretty well too. a lot of weird looks and comments though. Ive actually had random people at the launch ramp video tape me pulling out the boat. lol

I tow a 35 Ft Fifth Wheel with Two slideouts 12,300 Lbs and a 19ft Four Winns Bow Rider 2900 Lbs with a C2500 HD Chevy Pickup, 7.4 Ltr with 3.73 Rear Axle, Two wheel drive. Separate of course, not towing piggy backed.

I pull the boat and my 28 ft travel trailer with my Chevy Tahoe 4WD..350 Vortec
It does a good job for pulling 6k pounds.

99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd for my 21' Seasprite cuddy. Picked it up at auction cheap (only perk to working there) so if it blows up, it blows up! It does happen to be in real good shape for it's age tho, and just turned 100k miles last month.

08 subaru legacy towing a 15 ft mfb caprice. I also get funny looks at the ramp for using a car to pull a boat.

I tow my 16Ft Bayliner Capri with a Dakota 4WD with a 4.7L, it does great, I cannot tell the boat is on it most the time. I have towed up words of 8K lbs behind that little truck and it does awsome, even when I go over passes with it. I did get some funny looks thought, we were towing a toyota 4x4 mud bogger(well a wheeler) to a comp and the hood was above my topper. It looked awsome, and we got awsome looks!

I?ve pulled the same small boat with a ?57 Belair, ?58 Fairlane 500, ?63 Catalina, '65 Electra, ?67 Tempest, ?71 Fairlane, ?71 Pinto, ?86 Tradesman, ?87 Cherokee, '88 Ranger, and '96 Cherokee.

The Cherokees and ?58 Fairlane pulled the best, with the Pinto (believe it or not) a close second. Some of the others pulled OK but rear visibility was poor.

98 Chevy C2500, Ext Cab, Long Box, 5.7L, 4.11 rear end. Sometimes with a 9.5' slide in camper in the box.

I tow an 18' Sea Ray B/R with an Expedition with the 5.4 Triton. You can't even feel this boat back there, I have also towed a 22.5' Baha Cruisers Cuddy Cabin behind here. It was not even straining, it is only a 4x2, but still no problem pulling up a steep ramp.

Another member of the funny looks club here - I tow a 14.5 ft outboard (70 hp) runabout with a Saturn SL2. Works good except that the clutch doesn't appreciate extra-steep ramps. I only use those a few times a season though, the local lakes have flatter ramps. The extendable tongue keeps the car out of the water there.

03 Durango, 5.9L 4x4 with 3.93 gears pulling 16foot sea nymph. Can't even feel it back there. Never pull in overdrive though, already had the trans rebuilt once don't want to again. Other than the mileage, which is bad when not towing and in overdrive, I have no complaints on my setup. Well maybe one, don't get to use it often enough.

99 Dodge diesel. I pull a 27ft fifth wheel and my 24ft Arriva. Yes have done them together. It makes for quite a train, all 73 feet worth.
