1977 Volkswagen Kombi Pop-Top Camper - 1700cc towing a 1975 Northshore 4.8m with 1976 Johnson 85hp...Kombi and boat are both orange in colour, looks like the Ken and Barbie holiday set.<br /><br />broom, broom....peace bro!

1995 Chevy "baby" S-10 Blazer, 4.3L V-6, 4L60E trans, trans-cooler. (Hopefully) soon to try 1993 Buick LeSabre, 3800 V-6, 4T60E trans, trailering package. But FWD up a boat ramp? Please don't laugh too hard guys, but I would appreciate any thoughts, not meaning to hijack this thread. I won't be letting go of the Blazer too soon.

Just bought a '79 Chevy 3/4 ton with a 454 for towing. Air bags in the back for towing...could probably pull a house off it's foundation and not even notice.

My F-250 with the 5.4 isn't much better at 11 mpg pulling the boat. I do get around 18 while not towing though.

98 Mountaineer, AWD 5.0. Economy is a sin 13 MPG w/ Trailer, AC, and a tailwind. Towing a Rinker Captiva 212. appx. 3500 #. It will pull gracefully, and real good on steep ramps wet or dry.

Bring along an extra fat man to sit on the hood while you pull the boat out.<br /><br />This may sound funny, but I've honestly seen many a front wheel drive vehicle completely unable to move forward after loading. Almost every single time, it's a bystander fat man or two to the rescue....the more thoughtful ones will sprawl out flat on the hood to try to prevent making dents and the extra mass will you get you the bite you need!

our roads arrent big enough for some of your trucks the biggest we got is probs a mitzhy warrior dont laugh but i started with a 1600 ford escort diesel coupe then a 2 ltr ford galaxy what a dog now a renault 1800 laguna sport realy good car compared to lot its amouse but it does the job

Daihatsu Fourtrak (think they called them a Rocky in the States) here, towing 5m 2 berth cabin boat w/50hp and enough gear to sink the titanic. Great vehicle, no issues at all.
