2000 durango usually but I was forced into putting a trailer hitch on the 89 Olds delta 88 work/beater car one beautiful morning because the woman was out shopping in the truck and I needed to go fishing

2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with tow package (larger auto trans cooler, power steering cooler, larger radiator, electric fan with engine fan, class IV hitch) with a 4.7 liter V-8 (235 HP and 299 ft/lbs torque) rated to tow 5750 lbs. with the 5 speed auto transmission pulling a 2004 Caravelle 187LS weighing 3800 lbs. with a full tank of gas and the covers on.<br /><br />I towed my boat from Omaha, NE down to the Lake of the Ozarks (Warsaw, MO) and back with no problems at all (O/D turned off) and was getting about 13-14 MPG at an average speed of 65 MPH.

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sport 4x4 5.9L V8 Magnum. Has the factory tow package with tranny cooler and electric brake control.<br />Traded my 1993 Chevy Silverado with the 305 5.0l V8 for the Dodge. It was a great truck but at 189000 miles it was getting tired. I just hope the Dodge tranny holds up as well as the Chevy did.

1995 Ford Windstar w/towing package. Never had a problem. Of course, both boats are under 3500lbs

Hmmmmmmm, Quite an interesting string, 164 replies! Well here’s 165. Your gonna think I’m nutz, one of the boats I tow is close to 2 tons total weight and I tow it with an 83' Ford Fairmont! It has a modified 5.0, a custom class 3 hitch, reinforced unibody in the back end, heaver suspension and run a 3.55 8 ¾ posi traction rear end. Don’t laugh, it’s paid for and does a great job so far.

2001 Dodge 2500 Diesel love it for towing will never go back to gas for my main tow.

Current boat; a 20' Trophy C/C. (What a pice of Bilgeliner trash.) Current truck; a 1997 F350 4x4, 460 5spd and 3:55 gears. Still has under 21,000 original miles and relatively unmolested except for exhaust.

2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Limited V6 4X4 with the towing package. It does a great job with our Stingray 185LS.

The 04 Jeep 4.0 is a great yard goat to get it in and out of the backyard. The 95 Ford F-150 4x4 351 for most towing. The '06 Class C E-450 V10 is the obvious choice for camping/boating trips.
