5 seasons ago I spent much of the season fishing a place near Bonnet Shores here in Rhode Island. When you go over the area in your boat the depth ranges from 12 to 50 feet. A friend started calling me Davey Crockett, (king of the wild frontier). My name is Dave and its stuck ever since!

I picked the abreviation for the boat that I have lusted after for years and now own. Boston Whaler 17 Montauk.<br /><br />First time here, I'm impressed.

The guys who work in my shop would refer to me as Capt ****head on occasion. They would say it in a joking way. Ya Right, Hey I know Me! No Joke! Stuck anyway.<br />Cleaned it up to Capt DHD So In mixed company I could say it stood for Capt Diehard, also an idea of the shop. <br />It was published in our church's bulletin just a week ago. One of the guys and I had a laugh when we saw it listed.

The name of my boat given to me by a British decendent Marina Manager when I suddenly show up at 5:00 pm to launch my new boat at the marina and immediately become a member to the marina. We usually do not name our boat before when there is no marina in our area.

Back in the 70's a buddy of mine gave me the nickname Shangster. He told me it meant a combination of "**** disturber" and "prankster". Naturally, I had no idea what he meant.

My name is Ray & when I was younger my friends used to call me Deathray , cuz of the music I listened to( same as Mr. Moshpit)I actually usually go by Stingray now (my boat is named that) but someone else beat me to it.
