Ziggy was my blind, killer, cat. he loved birds, mice, rabbits, squirrles. he loved a fresh meal.......was amazing to see a blind cat with a bird hangin out his mouth. meowing too, with his mouth full of bird.....

he will probably be one of the best cats i will ever have the blessing to have been friends with......he was just very special, and i still miss him. even after several years.......i"ll catch up with him soon enough.........

Re: What does your username stand for?

when i plant tomatoes, i mix builders sand, cowmanure, in with the soil, water morning and evening, they are 90% water, not enough they cannot survive. if leaves start to turn yellow, too much water. the builders sand allows the water to get to the roots, keeps the soil soft for root developement. planting marigolds, between plants. helps keep insects from invading. my tomatoes usually get around 6 feet high.

The Not So Free Boat.

Free boat that is about as expensive as just having to buy a decent boat.

People give me stuff all the time i don't know how that works but so far in the last two weeks i have received a new table saw from my neighbor that was moving and some one has offered a 25' camping trailer (i am still working on the wife for this one) I must look pitiful or something.

Re: What does your username stand for?

My story is pretty stupid, and I guess I never told it in this particular thread. The first forum I ever joined was on Nascar.com . . . needed a name . . . favorite driver was (still is) Ward Burton who at the time was driving the Caterpillar car, and I have a Cat(erpillar) background. He is/was kind of a quiet guy and forums are silent, so I came up with Quietcat.

Anyway, to make this stupid story complete, there was a name changing revolt/incident here a while back, and many of us were changing our f_nscreenames as a gag to razz a departed (he's not dead) member named Techno_______ (fill in the blank). Well I can't remember what I changed mine to, but I lost the ability to go back to Quietcat, and since I always thought it was a stupid name to begin with, I switched to simple QC. So, there it is.

Re: What does your username stand for?

Hmmmmmm, After readin' most of this thread I have a question fer JB. Are you a Phd? N; did ya teach in yer pre retired career, or post retirment fer that matter? (Wouldn't surprize me if ya did hold a Phd as you have an impressive amount of knowledge fer a young feller).

As fer me username: I like: old, smokin', screamin', good lookin', hard chargin', lotsa extra snot outa the hole fer water skiin', lightweight fer the amount o' power outboards fer fresh water use. What other choices are there, dollar fer dollar: Mrs. Jones? JR
