I just got this Lowe 1730V and I've never had a built in fuel tank before .
Could some please tell me what this is ?

Correct. Fuel pick up from the tank to the engine.

And just beside (toward the top in the pic) is the vent line (note that it's double-clamped).

Ayuh,... It looks to me to be the fill line, 'n vent line,....

The pickup line is probably on the other end of the tank,...

I think the fill line is more like 1,5"...(and also double clamped )

^^^^^^^^^^ +1 on the fill and vent.

The large hose is the fill, the smaller one is vent. No way it could be a pickup coming into the tank from the side.
