What is a CV motor?

The guy that serviced my motor last time said it is a CV motor. What does it stand for? Thanks

Consumer Value. Some of the features such as oil imjection, updated cowlings,ect were not included on these engines.

Kvan is your motor oil injected? Just curious as to the whole CV thing myself as i have not heard of it. Thanks

No, it isn't. The previous owner works for a big boat company here in Australia and bought it brandnew for a special price in 2007 (2006 model). Now I see why it's a CV. However, I was told that it's the best of its kind. I hope that is true.

Otherwise known as the commercial model. Years ago, commercial fishermen wanted a basic engine without all the whisles and bells. Thus the CV.
