On my 1976 3.0L the exhaust bellows in the engine compartment were fried. I couldn't find one quick enough and wanted to take my new boat out, so I made one out of rubber PVC couplings. I took a little to get them in there but I did it and it seems to work fine. Just wondering why a new bellows cost so much and what makes them special. They don't get hot because water is running through them and the one I made don't leak so it should work right?
