I noticed that when I first saw the picture, it appears to be made similar to a tri-hull in the front, I'd say it has some advantages, 1) being more stable then other boats it's size at rest in the water, because it has a small built in sponson on each side of the main vee. 2) The bow acts like a scoop for this same reason, helping give the boat get lift to get on plane easier, & quicker, while (helping it to remain stable in calm water) but it will also have some mild drawbacks like a tri-hull also, depending on wave conditions, the mini-sponsons can get lifted up on either side by a strong wave, or wake, pushing, or pulling the boat one way, or the other, when under way, a bit more forceful when on plane, and it may pound a bit harder then an average vee bottom also because of this, but never as bad as some tri-hulls.
