You mean a oil-drain? Because I can easily reach the oil-plug in the bottom pan. Meaning I would not need this then?block drain for winterizing
No, cooling water drain. You mean a oil-drain? Because I can easily reach the oil-plug in the bottom pan. Meaning I would not need this then?
.... Was just looking at the same thing when I posted the picture.... You think this could be a crack in the engine block? Meaning "total-loss"?looking at the rust streaks, it looks like you have a freeze crack in the block already.

No, cooling water drain.
you need that item for winterizing to drain the water from the block when the temperatures get to 32 degrees or colder
Oh... and probably previous owner didn't do..... Bad news...No, cooling water drain.
you need that item for winterizing to drain the water from the block when the temperatures get to 32 degrees or colder
Will try to have a look the coming days.... Could also be located behind the exhaust manifold I guess?99.9995% probability of a block crack.
post a pick of the source of the rust streaks. most likely a 6-8" crack in the block
Nope, you'd have to pressurize the block's cooling passages,....Thanks for the picture!!! Makes it more clear now.
And I presume I would not have detected this with a compression test?
