Did that area have foam in it? Regardless it is used to move water to the transom so it can drain out. My Bayliner has a storage area in the middle section of the floor, no pipe, but I have an I/O and there are small pipes (size of your finger) in the front and back of the storage area. There should be holes in the pipe to collect the water and allow drainage. Unless this attaches some of the front storage bins to the transom, can you send a pic the other direction? Where does the other end go? Some boats this was cardboard just to hold the shape until the glass was laid up, saw this on a 70's Starcraft I think. PVC should be okay but I don't know about adhesion when you go to glass it.

not sure, maybe the MFG did all the bottom halfs that way so they could trim out with center console. makes sense to me you just pull the hull and finish it how it needs to be.

Here is a better picture. It runs from the front section of the boat ( where there was a livewell), to the tank, ( i ddont konw if there is a tube under the tank or not), and then into the rear of the boat where it can drain out ithe water removing the drain plug at the rear of hte boat.
It did not have foam over it.

Thanks,

I think your on to it. My Fish and Ski has a livewell in the front. There is a pipe down the center of my boat that drains the livewell that looks much like that.

LIVEWELL!!! Why didn't you say so...okay you just did. Way I see it you can run a hose through it or just use as is. Why would you want to go through the trouble to replace it? What is it made of. Is it weak or compromised? I've seen these on Center Console boats too but it was used for wires ect. Why don't you just leave it, clean with acetone and reglass / seal it just to make sure it doesn't leak? I'd be leary of cutting it out unless your convinced it has to go. All of this of course is if you intend to keep the livewell. Storage lockers should have weep holes but thats just in case they get a bit of water.
