What paint for my little boat?

Originally I was thinking of building a boat, decided to start small and build the 8' version of the Glen L/ Hankinson drift pram. I'v had the pieces cut out for about a month now, but the project sort of took a back seat when I got the Custom Craft. The other day, I wired the hull togther ( S&G construction ), and today I glassed much of the outside of the hull. Got the joints taped and such. I was going to hold off and get the recommended epoxy resins, but it's a cheap small boat and I wanted to get a little farther on it, so I want to WM and bought a gallon of Bondo resin, and a few packages of cloth, and a few packages of CSM.. Now I'm kinda stuck as to what primer/ paint to use. Is it safe to use a basic alky'd enamel with a primer and hardener? The boat will mainly be rowed around a local no motor lake, but I may add a 18-20# thrust troller and take it to a bit larger lake where the only non-local access is a DEC hand launch.. It will never be left in the water

You might want to consider the Rusto forum here ..

Looks like Rustoleum w/ hardener will do it for me. I only want a basic white boat, and some form of darker trim color. The boat will be dry docked upside down most of the time on small stand I will build.

My boat is at a different location, and I have not been down there since I posted this. However, this is a completed 10' version and this is where my boat pretty much is, with the exception the interior seat facings are not in place. The instructions kind of skipped over the necessity of that part and to install it at that stage entirely, so I know I'm in for some re-engineering..

Ahh .. cool a pram .

I would talk to Woodonglass and see if he would recommend his Rusto paint application.

Cool, thanks. Never used Majic but I'll try it. Probably spray it, because I have the equipment.
