The brass fittings have screens and threads on the new pump. Are those quick disconnects?Hose size and fittings didn't change. What you may have on the new pump is 'quick disconnects'.
You can either remove them and screw the old hoses directly in, or order a male and female QD and fit those to the old hoses and connect them to the new pump.

If you're reffering to the SAE J1171, that's not a part number.It doesn't still to big. The boat is a 1980 Tahiti. I'm sure the way its set up isn't original. But the old pump is same part number as newer pump.
