So this weekend is my first opportunity to go out for a float in the boat, so "we" start to summerize it today.
As we remove #8 plug (rear starboard plug 260 merc), it is rusty and wet with water??
It is the only one out of the eight
(We winterized last october)
Bottom of drive was off, so I pulled the coil wire off and turned it over, out came about two table spoons of water, thank god it was not seized, did a compression test
( I know it was a cold block)
and got 80 psi
How would/could water enter the cylinder???
thanks
Rob
So neighbour and son came over and we put the drive back together, put the water to it, and away she fired.
let it idle, then revved it up and down for a few minutes.
pulled the plug and checked the compresion
140 PSI YAAA
