I was wanting to get some smart tabs but not sure which one I would need. I have a 20 ft boat and was thinking about putting a swim platform on the left side. Do I have enough room for everything.

well it looks like the pitot and transducer are already in the way. no you do not have enough room for everything. swim plate form would be so high, it would be worthless.

Yep that transom looks to be awfull buisy for adding tabs as is, I'm wondering if that transducer position would pick up echos from another boat at the stern?

The depth finder does not work well when boat is in fast motion, the transducer flips up and does not read. The stern sinks deep in the water and I notice there is something in the way because of the extra trail of water coming up when in motion.

So the final decision is smart tabs will not work or do you think there is another formation in the back that will work?

Sure there's no reason they won't work on your boat, they would be a great addition, just move the transducer to the port side in close and move the pitot inboard closer to the plug, then you will have plenty room.

so the smart tabs go as far to the outside as possible. there are different types of smart tabs which one will I need?
