lol well iv put a bit over 140 hours on my boat this summer so it it is true its been a great summer and if not then I will hit it again next year

....yeah I've got to get going on this too. My birthday is on the 23rd and we have something planned...then the World Junior Hockey Tournament starts on the 26th (boxing day) and runs into early January 2013. They are going to have to hold off at least until the end of the 1st week of January.
....those damn Mayans.....why doesn't their 'year end' coincide with my accountants?....this is going to mess up my books and invoicing.

I've been reading up on this and it's definately true. You might as well just sign your boat and car titles, bank accounts, and house titles over to me. You won't be needing them

Actually, the calender is the perfect example of why the Mayan culture didn't last. What self-respecting, mayan calender company makes a product that noone ever has to buy again? I can see it now; they have their 1st run of calenders hit the market, and THEN the company president realizes that they're out of business. "Ok, boss, we just shipped out the calenders" (worker). "Awesome, we are going to get rich now. Hey, bring me one of those" (president). "We'll be the largest.....wait....did you make this calender last for 2000 years???!!! You idiot!!!"

Should've take their cues from the Mayan boat/motor manufacturers. Their canoes last maybe 2-3seasons before the log sprung a leak.

Really? We're worried about a calander that was created from a culture that died out 1000 years ago? Isn't this the same culture that prayed to the sun gods, fought with the Aztecs, and performed ritual human sacrifices?

dont knock em because they had issues with Aztecs.....i owned one of those and i had problems from day one. worst vehicle pontiac ever made!

i read that the north and south pole was reversing on dec 21 like it has done many times since the world was formed so im just going claim my gps got me lost on the way to work.

This is total science, and 100% true. The earth poles have switched many times, and it's wobbling a lot right now. Airports are having to some of their runways because of the off set of north. (like 15 ft or more). Our solar system kind of rides up and down about 2/3rd's out of one of the spiral arms of our galaxy. Some say, on Dec 21st we will be on apex of our up and down movement and thus could be how the poles flip. IF the poles flip (and they have many times over history) We are in for some major, major changes of how we live.

Also, once at this apex of our up and down movement, we will not be protected by the milky way and thus are subjected to being hit by earth sized planted moving about.. massive solar flares, or Gama bursts from stars.. Even ones billions and billions of miles away could hit earth.. .and we would be toast...

Now, all this may or may not happen on the 21, but it has happened in the past, it will happen again.. it's just science.

I have no doubts about the poles switching. As stated, that has happened before and will happen again.

Opps... I meant airports are MOVING some of their runways because true north, is not longer true north. Or um.. no longer the top of the earth.. it's moved south, and moves more every day.

if the poles flip then the water in the toilet will just spin the other direction........map will have to be read upside down.....(with her in charge that might get us closer to the correct direction). gps maps will fail which is why the new iphone is programmed with the wrong names on citys are they were not meant to be released till dec 22....satalites will be on the wrong side of the globe so we will have to learn to watch aussy tv and them poor aussys will have to work out what celbrex does after 4 hrs. still not the end of the world. now if it was bring back pontiac and mercury then thats a diffrent problem.

I heard that a couple of aspirins can cure cataracts (Cadillac) but does nothing for Pontiac's or Oldsmobile.

I don't know about the rest of you naysayers, but I BELIEVE.........the great predictor Nostradamus also confirmed the date long before the discovery of the New World and the Myan/Aztecs calenders. I think they were almost correct in their end of the world proficies, but the date is a little off. I think it could actually be November the 6th.............Anyway I am planning a huge party both nights and if we make it to 12-21-12................ we are gonna party like it's 1999 at my house.............PM me for directions to the shindig..........BYOB or some will be provided
