i'm curious how thats cooked my dads buddy told him the oyster toad was the chicken of the sea it stunk up the place and ruined the pan, we assumed another of his pranks:facepalm:

We call those toadfish down here too.. but in reality that's a monkfish.. which is actually very good eating and a delicacy in Japan.

But it does seem wrong to eat a fish out of your aquarium!

Why do you think the art of fishkeeping got started long ago? You knew you could have a fish for supper.

Anybody had pufferfish? I have not but know people who have had it,They say it tastes like pork...

I thought puffers were the fish that must be very carefully cleaned or you can die from eating a poison thats inside them?..........Mullet have got to be the most fishy tasting fish in the sea. I like them occasionally, split and grilled the old fashioned way. I think they were traditionally grilled outside because frying them in the kitchen would probably stink up the house for weeks!

Atlantic coast puffers are safe; been eating them since I was a kid. Skin 'em, fy 'em, and one bone pulls right out leaving nothing but sweet white meat.

Mullets are fishy, but salt water gars are NASTY :-( Lizardfish aren't much better. Horse shoe crabs are OK, but very little meat in that great big crab :-(

Yeah,But there are several species,I believe theres only one thats poisenous,Fubu I think they call it.
Here people eat them all the time.
Most people here have a little kitchen outside the house or just a stove especialy for frying fish!

Jack Daniels, and Yukon Jack 100.
The poor little goldfish was drunk before it his my tonsils.
I don't remember any taste, but the sour toe was kind'a the same thing.

its a mild taste , not bad if your in a pinch , but you have to grill it whole and pull the skin off they have a lot of small bones

Talking about snook,At my new job I am at a private harbour a lot,Swimming all around there and tame as hell are hunderds of snook I bet if I put my finger in the water I could catch one with it..guess what ? No fishing alowed aaaaaaaaaarghh...
