Thats a junk more or less thermometer..Think I saw one in harbor freight sale paper at $10 hard to beat.
Oh yeah??..Seemed a little to cheap to work worth a hoot...guess I'll get one anyway...I need to go pick up a couple more float chargers too. I still like the "gun", as I like the laser..great for head/spark plug/exhaust temps on my bikes..Rob, i bought one of the $10 harbour freight ones "cen-tech" it's small enough to fit in your pocket, and accurate, enough to aim at the head, and read the temperature. worked fine to tell if you are overheating.

The laser does not give you a spot reading, at least not on any of them I've used and I use them all the time for work. All the laser does is give the approximate center of the area you're reading. The area being read is a cone that gets larger pretty fast, same as the transducer on a depth finder, so the closer you get, the more accurate the reading.
