First of all let me apologize for not keeping up with the email requesting installation assistance. We are running at a rate of about 300 per day, and in combination with the 100 or so phone calls it is overwhelming. Some people are complaining that we do not answer the phone. What happens is that all the lines are busy at the same time. But we are trying.

Anyway, move the tie down straps so that they attach to the trailer frame directly below the "D" ring on the boat. This clears the area directly above the trailer bunk to mount the tabs. You can pick up an "L" bracket at West Marine or even Home Depot to bolt to the trailer in order to accommodate the strap hook.

OK thanks so I should put them where the YELLOW mark is then?? Or will the red mark still work?? Thanks again!!

I would mount them where your yellow mark is and move your "D" rings farther to the outside so you can still lock the boat down in the same place on the trailer.
Here's where I mounted mine and they work great.

That looks like a Bayliner Capri hull, I have mine mounted so the end of the tab is before the planing step of the hull. Closer to your yellow mark.

I'll have to take a picture of mine for you but I didn't have to move my straps on my 1998 1850 Capri BS. I only put them on this winter and have hit the water once, but I had carb issues and didn't not get a good test on the tabs performance. They definitely helped planing, porpoising, and bow wander but I have no top end data. I bought the 80lb model, but like I said I need the carb to work better so I can have some top end data.

Just mount them the way he said, to move you d-rings will be a real pain get your L-brackets and be done with it. I did just order mine and also will have to add L-brackets but no big deal...... Can't wait it is tubeing season

Red or yellow marked area will work fine.
