During boating weather, in a slip on a covered lift at the marina most of the time. Parked in the driveway some of the time when I am trailering to different lakes. No security problems here and no housing authority to run my life for me.

During winter when the lakes are frozen it is stored in a building at home with a float charger on the batteries.

Re: Where do you keep your boat?

I tow/ramp all summer long. Frequent one lake but visit others - not beholden to one pond yet! Stored in the garage during the summer. I'd actually prefer to leave it outside, but I like to let it completely dry out (fans, etc) and it just doesn't with the original pleather snap-on cover installed (cover doesn't breath at all). My trailer has a red-neck tongue conversion, meaning I can prop up and remove the first few feet, but I usually don't bother unless it's parked for a long period of time.

In the winter, once its winterized and good and dry, and I'm done working on it, I remove it from my heated garage and park it at the back of my acreage until spring.

We are keeping ours in our Driveway beside the company Truck & our Travel Trailer. Which is fairly safe behind a 9' Fence with a 12' Electric Gate & Cameras.

this is an old thread of the type that generates lots of responses but little useful information. It would be preferable to open an old thread only if you have new information that others could use. The exception are the "running topics" like funny boat names and funny craigslist ads.
But thanks for participating!

I'm lucky that I live in a cul-de-sac with plenty of space between houses so I paved the side and keep my boat there behind a gate next to the dog houses. With dogs, you don't have to really worry about theft...Just dogs peeing on the tires :)

Put some red pepper powder next to the tires and they'll stop pi$$ing on them. :)

Hm. I didn't even notice how old the thread was but respectfully I will disagree with you on the value of a thread like this since it can show newbies like me how others deal with storage Positives & Negatives.

But Thanks for letting me know it isn't acceptable to add to an existing aged thread.
