Where does Hose from Disributor go?

I have a2000 mercruiser 4.3 and the distributor cap has a plastic 90 degree fitting. Like an idiot I took the distributor and manifold off the boat and forgot what hose was attached to the distributor cap. see attached picture. Any ideas?

It's just vent. No hose goes there!

Ayuh,.... Exactly,.... Sparks can't jump around corners,....

It's just a safety vent, no hose,...

Where does the hose from the pcv connect to? It's running towards the back of the motor? see attached picture taken before I took everything apart.

Ayuh,.... To that nipple on the flame arrester,... It's visible in the 2nd picture,...

it didn't fit on the flame arrestor but noticed a fitting on the base of the trottle body so thats where I put the hose.
Before when I was running the engine and gave it some throttle then throttled it back down the rpm would stay 200 over idle. Now with hose back on everything is back to normal.
