Re: Where have all the smaller Doral Owners Gone ???

hello , the boat is over in chatham getting the gas gauge fixed and getting a water temp gauge installed . the sending unit is not a arm that goes out with a float at the end , it is the other style , its a straight shaft with a float that goes up and down the shaft , they told me that's all they use now. I will let you know what they find out . thanks .

They are full of poop !!!! Big shelf full of the arm version sitting at a boat store here in Windsor. Just bought and fitted one to the friends Bayliner. They likely mean it is quicker and easier for them to do it with the straight float version.

So they have fited the version that "nobody uses" anymore LOL !!!! Glad you got it sorted. Just hope they have the arm length correct and also positioned correctly so you don't get any surprises out on the lake. Suggest taking some spare fuel till you get to know your new gauge. Good Luck with everything.

Only occasionally have the boat at the home end these days. We keep her in a wet dock at the campground. Will be out doing the Mitchells Bay thing sometime this season though.
