Re: Where's Don S?
I repair computers for a living and have seen my fair share of people who have absolutely no business thumbing around inside of their systems. However, belittling them in a public forum is inexcusable. Being in the service industry, one thing we must remember that if it wasn't for people breaking things, or things breaking on their own, we would all have no jobs.

If someone buys a product, be it a boat, computer, refrigerator, etc.. and that person wants to beat it to death with a sledgehammer, take belts off, or whatever they choose, well, then that is their right! I admire people who want to learn about their new product, service manual or no service manual. Guess what happens when they completely screw it up? They bring it us, the service professional, and we can make a living and feed our families. It's a cyclical process, and in the long run, the "idiot" always learns their lesson, and the service professional always gets more business. If the customer knows he/she is being blatantly flamed behind their back, however, do you think they will bring their business back? Most likely not. Same goes for this forum. I'm sure many newbies have been scared off for fear of being chastised. Do we really want that?
