Jason.... there also seem to be a number of new Starmadians... Which should increase the odds of a tinstock for next year :D

The first time I said the word "Starmada" to my wife she laughed (hard) for several minutes.

Who made this artwork?

Yeah that was me. I really just stole some clipart for the mob but ill have to redraw it if the goal is hats and stickers. I can work the oar idea in too.

Therein laid the problem.

Really there should be a Jan-Feb Starmada gathering someplace where you guys could actually thaw out and get some sun..
If only there was someplace like that....

Yah, looks like that may have fizzled right out for summer of 11 huh.

Summer of 12, Michigan TinStock? I can't see any reason why that couldn't or shouldn't happen eh!;):D

Uh, well. There are a good number of MI guys with boats in dry dock at the moment. Like ah, just about all of em?

I'm praying mine goes in this year. If not I'll be broken hearted. Like Charlie Brown says there's always next year.

There is no excuse for not having one in '12......

With all the hard work and years of Iboats, it would seem a shame not to show them off to eachother in person. (at least to the people within a few hundred miles....)

Ask NB about that...the shame still weighs heavily upon my head

I've got a plan to get us on the water sooner rather than later Jason...check it out they "actually FLOAT" :D:D (also they are NOT glassers so no issues there;))

I can see it now. Right after the Starmada Float-in, a "How do I restore this?" thread pops up. "My new boat is water logged. Any Ideas?"

Easier said than done to coin a phrase. From about 20 yeses to one actually there for the original gathering. I dropped out late because I did not want to haul the boat a 1000 miles and only see a few SC restorations. I still like the idea of seeing, in person, what we have all done. Maybe someday...

That's why i mentioned the "within a few hundred miles"

There's no way I'd count on someone driving 1000 miles to come see my boat, but I bet a good majority of us are from Michigan, and I'm pretty sure in '12 we could count on myself, Huron, Jas, CBgale2, boatguy94, Bwanadon, chuckndiscs, bighoss.....that's 8 and a pretty good start just off the top of my head, but, we are all less than 3 hours from eachother as well.

Yes this is why I think Michigan should be the location. I'll take it even further and suggest that if there's 10 people in the Detroit area and 5 people in Traverse City, you don't find an in between place. You have it in friggin' Detroit so you at least get those 10! The distance and our crummy tow vehicles is what killed TinStock 2010 in VA.
