Re: who really owns the boats

I have a fishing boat that I own, I take her out a few times a year and now and then I will grab whoever of the kids that wants to go swimming and take them but for the most part it is mine and I don't hear much about it.

After years of careful negotiation I fish every other week, used to leave at 9 p.m. now it is 5 and any 3 day weekends automaticly become fish weekends, been married 25 years so I must be doing something right.

I own both of MY boats, I just make HIM pay for everything and do all of the engine work! I tow the boats, and drive the boats, HE sits up front drinking a beer and having fun. BUT when we are fishing, I am baiting OUR hooks, and catching MOST of the fish, yet HE takes them off the hook! Seems fair to me!

She "owns" it, but I get to drive! Both our names are on the title, and it is "our boat" when we invite friends to join us, but it is "my damn boat" when any money is needed to be spent on it. Same thing with the house, ie.. "what do you mean you need a new mower?" or the cars, ie.. "I thought we just put tires on that thing!" etc...

The only thing "I" own is MY motorcycle! I had one before we got married and I told her it was a condition of my proposal. Her folks hated that I rode, and I told her if she ever said it had to go, she would seal her fate. Occasionally I let her go for a ride, and she secretly loves it.

We've been together over 20 years and married 16. I figured out a along time ago that she is a "girl", and girls think differently than guys about material items like "big boy toys". However I like girls, so I'm willing to put up with the nonsense for the "benefits"

Wife cant drive. So I do towing, driving boat, mending boat, polishing boat, fueling boat. Bait the hooks, but she catches most fish. Then I take them off hook, I gut em cos its messy and smelly. BUT its small price to pay to spend the day in the boat ( sorry I meant" to spend the day with my beautiful wife") she looking over my shoulder

Re: who really owns the boats

I own mine. Paid cold hard cash for the boat BEFORE we paid cold hard cash for the wedding. LOL!!

Here's how I keep the wife, the kids and the boat happy all at the same time.

Kid = keep the cell phone updated every 6 months and 3 Slurpee runs to 7/11 once a week.

Wife = tell her to go shopping every once in a while or buy her a nice gift or two.
Keep the budget to a few hundred cause you have to do this once a month.

Boat = now "Break Out Another Thousand" and spend it on the boat before you spend it on the other toys.

Everyone's happy :)

IT was MY boat until about 11am this morning when she was gassed up and splashed. Now it's OUR boat...

I remember thoughs days, when to take the boat out, or not, something is going on...Blaaa..Blaa... I am in my late 40's no kid's. I was married for 11 years, and know the s...!!! But I give you guy's and WIVES credit for keeping it going. Both my parents are alive and have been married for SIXTYTWO years!!! I grew up with boats and snowmobiles, and I love them. YES, I'm selfish and love my toys and want them when I say I want them!! That is the awesome thing about being single, or just having a girlfriend...UuuuuHuuuu.. That did'nt sound right...Sorry ladies...

I own the boat! I know that because all things are my fault. I also know that because when anything needs to be done to it I get to do it. Further, if I have not anticipated what should have been in the boat after we've left for the day, it's my fault again. How was I supposed to know that 'my' boat needed the other kind of white cheese for a snack? Well, it's my boat isn't it?

Hehe, they're my boats when they are in the driveway, but ownership revolves to her when the queen is aboard:) So long as she indulges my boating habit it's not a problem, I just say "yes your majesty" and pop another beer while enjoying a happy family:)

Everything done in this world by males is done for sex. Don't believe it? Think back. When you were young you worked hard to buy a car SO YOU COULD PICK UP GIRLS. And as the comedian Larry Miller said, "You can get a man to do anything if you end the sentence with AND THEN WE MEET GIRLS"

So who owns the boats? WE THINK WE DO, but in reality the women of the world own everything.

Juat like cats own people, women own men. Here is a photo of my owner and one of the six boats I maintain for her.

But then we get older and finally figure out that "all of them are crazy" and go live life doing what we want to do, when we want to do it and not have to listen to anyone bit**ing about it. Life is Grand!
