My boat I bought needs some "elbow grease". However, I made sure the floor was solid and the engine worked. I paid $1500.00 for it. The interior (VINYL) is going to be my main focus. Of course the engine will need some sort of tune-up. Aside from that, a nice coat of wax and a few weekends of "T.L.C." will turn the boat brand-new. It' a 1987 19 Foot Invader. The point of this thread is that you guys pay or at least think of paying a crazy amount for garbage. If you are into the whole restoring thing than by all means go for it. That 18 year old kid thinking about paying $1500.00 for that rat trap. It's not even worth the effort to saws-all it. All I am saying is that there are boats out there the same vintage in much better condition. Don't complain about your credit card balance or your lack of cash if you do decide to buy these boats.
