We will be out all weekend. Fantastic, cant wait. Lots of people lots of boats lots of fun.

We have rented a house on the river, so no ramp excitement for us. We launch on Thursday afternoon and do not retrieve till Tuesday morning. WOOOOHOOO long holiday weekend:cool:

We'll be getting the name on the new boat this week. On Memorial Day we will go early, christen the new boat with a proper formal ceremony(we want to keep the gods appeased), go out into the Gulf and check out a 44 year old bottle of wine I recently received(I am more of a wino than a wine snob), go have lunch at the American Legion(they have docks), take the boat back to the marina, then home for a nap.

I'll be in the middle of moving this weekend. Can't say I'll enjoy driving a 26' truck in the coming traffic, but where I'm moving will allow me to boat every day, so it's all worth it.

Will be heading to the lake on Friday at 5ish in the morning with the camper and boat in tow (double). Hoping to get a camp spot in redneck cove so I can beach the boat on the sand just below camp. That way I don't have to deal with the rush at the ramp each day.

I'm new to boating, haven't had the boat very long. Going this week some time, and staying home this weekend.

thankfully, i'm in a lift so I can come and go as I please with little inconvenience.

Boating loses its appeal and "relaxing" nature when you have to deal with towing and ramps

The repair shop said my boat should be ready by this weekend and with so many smaller lakes around I think I can find a quiet place to go.

I ain't skeered!:D
Haven't missed the opening weekend since 92'. Don't plan on starting now. We get out early and play, then hit the sand bar until the crazys get it out of their system and come into the sandbar and make everyone listen to their #*@%^(! music and ignorance, then we head back out. Most of the time it isn't too bad.

No way ill be on the lake this weekend, I'll be dealing with all the fools at the Indy 500 :D We are going up Saturday morning and the fun begins. Watching all fools trying to get in and out of the track is almost as fun as watching the boat ramp.

rolling for Lake Texoma Friday morning, having her on the water slipped by noon. No need to retrieve until Monday. That is the extent of my ramp madness.

Re: Whos taking on the memorial day madness?

We leave Thursday AM and hopefully in the water after lunch. :D

But I don't have to worry about a ramp; 13 steps and I'm on my dock! However, with the public ramp across the cove, I'll have my camera on the ready. Now, if I could only find an inexpensive parabolic mic, I'd really be set. ;)

We'll be out and about during the mornings and installing 100 feet of sandstone flower bed edging during the afternoons when it gets shady.

Re: Whos taking on the memorial day madness?

We'll be camping at our permanent site from Friday to Monday. I have a wet slip at the campground, so as long as the weather holds out to get it buffed for the season this week, I'll drop it Thursday and avoid the rush this weekend. At least until I pull it back out on Monday.
