JB, If you google the Pew Research center statistics, you will find their most recent stats show for those blacks with 20k income or less it is 64% dem to 8% repub
for blacks with incomes over 100k it is 61% dem and 10% repub
And RR you are making some wild assumptions, stereotyping, and generalisations there that seem to excuse the repub do nothing policy as acceptable.
While there is no magic wand that will fix every situation in every case, of course, it is cost effective to work on this problem. It costs a ton of money to incarcerate (80k or better?) someone. If we can turn even some of them around and get them to be tax payers instead of wards of the state.
While we need accountability and statistics for the effort, if we can find effective techniques to address this problem, we'll all be money ahead (and of course society will benefit)
If the R's would embrace even some minimal effort, they might get those stats to move.
