I didn't really think people read other people's profiles all that much to be honest...
I have 22 years automotive repair experience, and 2 years marine repair maintenance, (Although I'm not "certified"). I have rebuilt 3 boats from the ground up, and have owned/maintained over 20 boats personally, (outside of the ones I have fixed for other people). So hopefully thats good enough...
I typically only chime in, when I am very sure of my response, otherwise, I just read, and keep my mouth shut. The last thing I would want to do is give someone bad advice! Boats are expensive enough as it is.
I think most people here pretty much operate the same way... (at least I hope they do

)
As for the people who are seeking answers, you can ask a question, look at the thread, review the replies, and see where the oddball answers stick out, it's just a matter of using your head to actually "read" the thread, and compare the replies before jumping in feet first.
Hopefully the most important thing is, that, everyone here benefits from the site, and the replies with "bad" information are few and far in between...
