I got 200hp Rude that we need to mount a Power tech prop part # Un200 Rh 3 blade which is universal prop /hub 15 spline thru hull exhaust, prop fit right on the shaft, However it didn?t came with the hardware kit (Thrust washer, spacer, Lock nut) But I received the instructions only with it . The Kit is so hard to come by # UN0
I can't find this kit, so my local prop shop and authorized dealer for the this prop, was able to work w/ me to round a thrust washer that works and allow me to slide the prop all the way back to the gear case without it rubbing or binding. It?s pretty much good fit and it spins free like the OMC.... the thrust washer is much thinner than the OMC one but it stops at the same point the OMC does and sets in the back hub of the prop 100%
My big Q is the other side of the prop. The instructions say to use the OEM OMC 15 spline washer, then to add their spacer (Since I do not have the kit there is no telling how thick or how thin I need) then the OEM lock nut, Cap & Cotter pin. I was able to round a spacer/washer from the same prop shop.
After sliding every thing in place (thrust washer, Prop, OMC Spline washer , The spacer and slide the lock nut with the cap over it ) all that hand tight I pass the cotter pin by almost 2 full turns = 2 threads this without even tighten the nut .
So I called the Prop manufacture they told me to use extra couple spacer/washer if I have 2 or attempt to replace the spacer with thicker one, simply add as many to achieve the prop get secure in place but I don't see this safe unless am wrong. I just don?t want to do things that might risk my Lower unit which will cost me ...I can take few pic
