Re: Windshield re-placement?
Just about any glass shop should be able to cut you a new piece of flat safety glass, the key word is FLAT.
This glass is common on heavy duty trucks and equipment so it's fairly available.
Be sure to mention the color of tint, the most common is green.
If yours is curved, your only option is either lexan or plexiglass or finding an original replacement.
I just got some pieces of laminated safety glass custom cut for a project of mine, they were about 18x23" and cost me $25, the shop had just replaced a huge piece on a large truck and was able to cut me a clean piece from the old windshield. They actually cut me several from that old windshield, and one out of a new piece of glass. The price is usually higher if they have to order a special piece to custom cut, but I didn't care about the tint color or shade for what I needed these for.
