Hello,
I bought my boat, from a dealer this summer, and i was very happy with the service...
Where i currently live, i cannot really work on my boat, or winterize it.. I talked to the dealer and they said a full winterize package would be, about $200... Engine oil/filter. Remove drive, check gimbal, u joints and change lower unit oil... Fuel filter change, check alignment and grease everything. But they dont add any anti-freeze to the motor, they just drain the valves....
They do guarantee there work, and have been doing it this way, for 20 plus years... and they are a mercury dealer.
They are also giving me free storage of the boat for the first winter because i bought it.
Question is (just to ease my nerves because this is my first winter with an I/O) is that type winterizing (just draining the plugs) good enough for winter.
