'85 Mercruiser Alpha 1,
Well, after getting the outdrive connected and adding the gear oil. I went to start her up and it turned over a few times, but now nothing! Zero power, I checked the battery It read 12.25 on the meter. Whats going on????

Hard to say, you don't give any details on what you have tried. Any chance you need to adjust the shift so that the drive is in neutral?

It's in neutral, I've checked the battery. It turned over like 3 times then nothing!!

It may be in neutral, but is the neutral switch (prevents it from starting in gear) adjusted properly? Try movign the throttle back and forth a bit while trying to start it.

If that does not do the trick go to the Adults Only thread and get the troubleshooting guide/manual for your drive.

Found the problem- the fuse at the ignition might be a little correded. I took it out and blew in there and it worked, but turned it off and went to start again and same thing!

I have a new problem though, I'm gonna start a thread

That fuse is really hot though, is that normal?

You need to really clean the connections. poor connections cause heat. Blowing on it doesn't do much for corrosion on the contacts. Neither do sprays. Clean or replace all the connections that are suspect in the start circuit. I would bet if one fuse is corroded there are a lot of corroded connections. Once clean, a lubricating switch spray or even a little tube grease will help slow the corrosion process.
