Well folks it is September in Maine and we may have a few more weeks of descent boating weather. That being said winterizing the motor is just around the corner. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with changing a waterpump in a 20hp electric start 4 stroke yamaha. Looking at it, it seems like the 4 bolts at the bottom are removed, linkage disconnected and the lower unit will slide off. Is this correct? Is there anything else that I should be aware of before I get involved in this? I was a machinist for 20 years and have a good understanding of mechanics and how componets work/function. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
