Sometimes God answeres prayers that we don't even know we need to pray. Sometimes he provides things that we don't know at the time we desperatly need, or will need soon.

Several weeks ago my sweet little wife and I were out driving and we saw a tiny little puppy running like stink down the side of the road. He was a little chahuahua, with the same color coat as our Rottwielers at home. We stopped and picked the little fella up. He was exhausted and thirsty.

We brought him home and set about finding his home. We checked lost and found ads, looked for "lost puppy" signs in the area where we found him, checked with all the local vets. Nothing turned up. We had promoised ourselves that we would never have another male dog. We had promised ourselves that we would never have one of those little "Rottwieler snack" sized dogs that look rediculous in thier little sweaters.

The littel dog was only about 2 months old and could fit in the palm of my hand, yet he had the biggest personality. As time passed we fell in love with the little guy and named him Mr Bigglesworth after we figured finding his home was not going to happen.

Then one day about three weeks ago our special little handy capable girl Sugar Puppy (our 2 year old Rotty) got up from her food dish and crashed to the floor dead. I administered CPR to her, but it was no use. She was gone. She had slept every night with my wife. She spent every second at my wifes feet. They were closer than I have seen any person/dog relationship. Dee was crushed, and still cries some times when she looks at pictures of Sugar Puppy, but there was Mr. Bigglesworth. He immediatly stayed glued to Dee after Sugar passed, and gave so much comfort to her. He couldn't cure her pain, but he eased it, carying as much of the burden as could on his little back.

After Sugar passed our oldest Rotty, Boo Boo stopped eating. Then the seizures started. In a space of 4 weeks and several visits to the vet she sped downhill fast. Fianlly, last week I took her to the vet and the decision was made that she had fought the good fight, and for her comfort and dignity we would give her rest, and we put her down. Boo Boo was my special little girl. She was so good. Never chewed on stuff. Never had accidents in the floor. Never gave us any problem at all. She was a stoic little girl, and when she was in pain from arthritis, or an upset tummy, she never made a big fuss. When she passed I was devastated. But there was Mr. Bigglesworth. He started sitting in my lap, and climbing on me, very generously covering me with his special little kisses. What a huge help he was during that painful time.

When we found Biggles, we had no idea that such heart wrenching tragedy lay just over the horizon. But God did. When we found Biggles we had no idea that such a tiny little dog could contain such a big and powerful personality. We had no idea that his crazy little antics would be so hilarious and give us such pleasure and joy. We didn't know any of this, but God did. So before we knew that we need him, and without our knowing what he could offer, God provided Mr. Bigglesworth. Thank you Father in Heaven.
