OHHH MY God , I just see on the news, where this guy didnt have a long enough drill to go through the wall for his new sat, dish !!! he needed two hole , So he got his gun out and blow two holes in the wall !!!!!!! heres the ohh my god , his wife was out side the second shot got her in the chest !!!!!!!!!!! dead !!!! Never heard of that, exactly. Around here, wood heater installation contractors have been known to use deer rifles to shoot a hole through ceiling and roof to get alignment for flue pipe.

There's an older electrician in town here that made up a rig out of an old .22 barrel/action. He built a wooden housing for it with level tubes in it to use for running masts etc. up through ceilings and roofs. He only used it for going straight up or down though. He stopped using it just a couple of years ago when he did a job next door to an RCMP officer's house. Guy came over (day off) when he thought he heard a shot. Had a good chuckle over the rig, then told him not to use it anymore.

Or at least not in town.

Way back when my dad was an electrician/cable installer. They would use crossbows to string wires in attics where accessability is a problem. Other than shooting his wife (you know sometimes I think I need to run some new wiring myself ) he had a dang good idea.
