<br /><br />For eating, however, I like walleye best of freshwater species. A little short on the wiggle, perhaps, but unmatched on the table.<br /><br />Salmon are in a category alone.<br /><br />For saltwater I prefer dolphin/dorado/mahi mahi on light tackle. Like a chest of jewels glittering in the air 6' above the water. And fresh from the broiler. . . .AHHH! What wonderful fish!!<br /><br />I'm still considering meeting you in June for a day or so of Musky hunting.
<br /><br />That's the biggest Spanish Mackeral I've ever seen... Just wondering if that's what we would call a kingfish, cause I've never heard of spanish mac's getting that big.... <br /><br />Round here mostly in the late fall and early winter get large schools of spanish mac's, but they don't get much bigger than a few pounds and occassionaly some up too about 8 Lbs... Good eats though... <br /><br />I mostly run around the flats and bays on the ICW looking for Snook (ol' Linesiders) and of course Snapper, both inshore and offshore with light tackle... I'm still trying for a big tarpon, but so far no luck...<br /><br />Long as it pulls lots of drag, I don't care what it is...<br />
