Question for you Bayliner guys.. At the back on each side of the boat there are these boards that were attached... Anyone know why???
Anywho, today I was able to clean things up a bit and add more to the trailer.... I also got the rotten transom out. Wen't really good.. Took my time cutting and chiseling out the rotten junk in there. There is a total of 1.5" of core between the fiberglass on the transom. I was able to split the 2 sheets apart.. No wonder though, they barely used enough glue on there to help them together!!!! No surprise though....
Wife brought me drinks today as well

Mai Tai's. Yum Yum
The Rot was pretty bad at the bottom.. I could stick my finger right in there no problem..
And she is all out.. Just need a little clean up and it will be ready for the new to go in....
Most of the pile that came out...
Any feedback or suggestions would be great.. I believe I need to be pulling the strings next and then the grrrrrinding begins.. Put new stringers in, transom, then floor right??? In that order?? Or is it transom then stringers?
And last pic was one I found online.. I really like the layout of the bow... I may try something similar to this. We will see...
If I did decide on a center console, I would imagine I would need to switch to a hydraulic steering? Or how would one run the cables to the back????
Thanks again everyone!! Hope you enjoy this so far
